AAIA: Advanced in AI Audit

AAIA is ISACA's advanced credential for auditors of AI. It assumes you already think like an auditor and tests whether you can apply that judgement to AI systems: their governance, their day-to-day operation, and how to audit them.

Why take AAIA?

AI is now part of how organisations make decisions, so it is now part of what auditors are expected to cover.

  • AI is in scope

Boards and regulators expect AI to be governed like any other material risk. AAIA shows you can give that assurance: over the governance, the data, the models and their outputs.

  • Builds on what you hold

It is designed for qualified auditors. Every CISA holder qualifies, as do CIA, CPA, ACCA and similar holders working in IT audit or advisory.

  • Practical, not theoretical

Nearly half the exam is AI operations: data, the model life cycle, change, monitoring, testing and AI-specific threats. It is the work you will actually audit.

  • Get ahead early

AAIA is one of the first credentials built specifically for auditing AI. Few auditors hold it yet, which makes it stand out.
