Buying and access

How do I get access after buying?
Buy the pack on Gumroad, then create an account here (or sign in) with the same email you used at checkout. Your purchase appears in My library automatically, usually within a minute or two. There’s no code to enter.
How long does access last?
Each purchase gives 6 months of access from the day you buy. Buying the same pack again before it ends adds another 6 months on top of the time left. If you bought on Gumroad before the site launched, your 6 months run from the launch date. Your library shows when access ends and reminds you two weeks before.
What happens when my access ends?
The paid lessons and files lock, but your account, progress, scores and achievements are kept. If you buy again, everything picks up where you left off.
I bought with a different email from the one I sign in with.
Sign in, then go to link a purchase and enter the email you used at checkout. We send a short code to that inbox; enter it and the purchase moves into your library.
My purchase isn’t showing in My library.
Check that you’re signed in with the email you used on Gumroad (it’s on your Gumroad receipt). If it’s a different email, link it. Still missing after 10 minutes? Send a message with the email on your receipt.
I forgot my password.
Use reset your password. We’ll email a link to choose a new one.

Studying on the site

Can I download the study PDFs?
The paid study materials are view-only on the site, to protect them, and work on any device with a modern browser. The free exam guides are downloadable PDFs: get them from the CISA, CIA and AAIA pages.
Which devices can I use?
Any recent browser on a computer, tablet or phone. Your progress is saved to your account, so you can switch between devices.
Is this site connected to ISACA or The IIA?
No. The Audit Cert Desk is an independent study aid. Exam registration, fees and rules are set by ISACA (CISA, AAIA) and The IIA (CIA), so always confirm them there.
What’s free?
The exam guides, the audit puzzles on the home page, the glossary, the question of the day, the blog and the newsletter, all gathered in the free Knowledge Vault. Create a free account to open the CISA Cheat-sheet Vault, and we’ll email you the Digital Certificates mini-lesson too.

Choosing an exam

Which exam should I take first?
It depends on where your career is heading:
  • IT audit, technology risk or security assurance: start with CISA.
  • Internal audit: the CIA, usually starting with Part 1. If you already hold an approved CPA or CA, or CISA, look at the single Challenge Exam.
  • Already certified and auditing AI: AAIA. Every CISA holder qualifies.
A common path is CISA first, then the CIA through the Challenge Exam, then AAIA.
How long should I study?
Most working professionals need about 8–12 weeks for CISA and about 8 weeks per CIA part, at 6–10 hours a week. Each free exam guide has a week-by-week plan, plus a shorter one if your exam is close.
