Privacy policy

The Audit Cert Desk (auditcertdesk.com) is run by Chidambaram Narayanan. This policy explains what personal information the site collects, why, who helps process it, and the choices you have. Questions go to chidambaramn888@gmail.com or the Contact page.

What we collect

Your account: your email address and a password (stored only in scrambled, hashed form by our sign-in provider).
Purchase records: when you buy on Gumroad, Gumroad tells us the email used at checkout, the product, the sale ID, the date and whether the sale is later refunded or disputed. We never see or store your card details.
Your learning: lessons you complete, quiz and mock-exam answers and scores, and achievements, so you can pick up where you left off.
Messages you send: your name, email, topic and message from the Contact page, plus a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address used only to limit repeat sends.
Newsletter: your email, when you signed up and confirmed, and where on the site you signed up.
Technical data: like any website, our hosting provider processes IP addresses and request logs to deliver pages and block attacks. Our visitor statistics are counted without cookies and without identifying you.

Why we use it

To give you access to what you bought, for as long as your access lasts, and to remove it if a payment is refunded or charged back.
To save your progress and show your results.
To answer your messages.
To send the newsletter, only if you asked for it and confirmed your email.
To keep the site secure and working, and to understand which pages are useful.

We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.

Who helps us run the site

These providers process information on our behalf, only for the purposes above:

Cloudflare: hosting, security, file storage and cookieless visitor statistics.
Supabase: sign-in, and the database that holds accounts, access, progress, messages and newsletter sign-ups.
Gumroad: checkout and payments. Gumroad’s own privacy policy applies to what you give them when you buy.
Resend: sends emails such as sign-in links, newsletter confirmations, the newsletter and contact messages.
Google Fonts: the site’s typefaces load from Google’s servers, which see your IP address.

Some lessons embed tools such as YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode), Google Forms, Quizlet and Wayground. When you open one, that provider may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

These providers may process information outside your country. We choose providers that protect it with appropriate safeguards.

Cookies and storage

We use only the cookies the site needs to work: keeping you signed in, and the owner’s preview. Your browser also stores a few small settings on your device, such as which puzzle you saw last. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner.

How long we keep it

Account, access and learning data: while your account exists. Ask us and we’ll delete it.
Purchase records: as long as needed to manage access and keep proper records.
Contact messages: up to two years, then deleted.
Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email chidambaramn888@gmail.com from the address concerned and we’ll reply within 30 days. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time with one click.

Children

The site is for professionals preparing for certification exams and isn’t intended for anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear here with a new date. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
