User acceptance testing (UAT)
Business users confirming a system does what they need before go-live.
UAT is performed by end users, against business requirements, in an environment like production. Sign-off by the business is the go-live decision point.
On the exam
The users, not the developers, sign off acceptance. Builders don’t mark their own homework.
